Sweet potato oat bars {vegan + gluten-free}

I have a confession to make: these bars almost didn’t make it to the blog. Not because they aren’t delicious, but because I almost ate them all up before taking pictures earlier this week. Choc banana loaf bars {vegan + gluten-free}

I know, I know, it’s like I couldn’t make up my mind about what on earth this is. It’s a loaf and works as a bar, so… yep. That’s as big as my brain can go at the moment! With lesson prep for school, a new kitty to integrate (see below!!), and general life to organize, it’s difficult to stay afloat sometimes without a little help. Chocolate helps. Bananas help. Frosty passionfruit pear cheezecake

Friday!! Whoo hoo! Well, I don’t want to say not really, since I have so much work to do and little time in which to get it down, but it’s still the principle of the matter: celebrate where and when you can. It’s been a while since I posted something food-related, so I figured I’d dig something out of the draft archives that I’ve wanted to share for a while. A trip to Morocco!

Ok, I’m going to start this all of by reminding everyone that I used to be a diplomat’s brat and spent about 20 years travelling up and down the world, so contrary, I guess, to what most people will imagine, I would happily burn my passport and never leave the country. Nevertheless the thought of disappointing my little siblings was too great a feat to overcome, so Man-thing and I packed up our goodies and presents, and said goodbye to the cats as we marched off to the airport for a holiday.
