You probably can’t believe your eyes but yes, I am sharing a WIAW after a long hiatus on this front. I’ve been sick pretty much the whole year, so my eats have gone rather erratic, from minimalist to stretchy pants, but I figured it’s always cathartic to share one’s munchies (at least for food lovers), so here goes! (Oh, and I had lots of fun with the effects settings on my phone, so forgive the liberties :p)
Breakfast/05h45: I must admit the weather is making me lazy at the moment so breakfast was later than usual and consisted of coffee and a spirulina-pear smoothie with water, lettuce, cucumber, NuNaturals Peppermint Liquid Stevia and 2 TBSP protein powder. Nom nom! Pear makes for super creamy smoothies, and they’re even smoother with my new blender. That’s right, I broke another one. *headdesk*Second breakfast/08h00: I finally got round to eating the overnight oats I made the day before, and wow, I can see why everyone freaks out about this method. The results are creamier, and of course the lack of any effort makes it a winner. Man-thing was so excited with this method since it means he doesn’t have to suffer in front of the microwave for a whole two minutes. So spoilt! We’re on an oats kick to save money and it’s pretty effective, if boring, which is why I still include my smoothie where possible as a “starter”. Tea-time/10h30: Sliced granny smith apple, carrots and radishes. Weird but effect. So much coffee not shown!Lunch/12h30: A monster meal of a slice of chickpea flour quiche (hidden), steamed stir fry and 1/2 cup lentils. I’m stepping up my game in terms of protein to see if that has a positive effect, but either way it’s delicious and super stuffing. Post-work/16h30: Another water-pear smoothie with 1 TBSP chia seeds mixed with cinnamon, soy milk and NuNaturals Cherry Vanilla drops. I was on a mission since the awesome lady who is adopting three of my fosters was going to come and visit them after work, so this was gulped down chop chop. If I could have a day of just smoothies I would! The lady and I ended up playing with the kittens for an hour, because they’re just so much fun and being in the cat room is like living in a realm without time. So many cuddles! Oh, and some chai tea, because nom!Dinner/19h00: Steamed zucchini, eggplant and lentils. Plain but effective. I was working on my portfolio for the library diploma so there wasn’t time for faffing, and then a pal came by so that we could check her editing work for a client I referred to her. The topic was some weird engineering thing about cement so I was a bit boggled but it’s always interesting to encounter strange new research.Dessert/22h00: jelly with crumbled raw fig bars and NuNaturals Cocoa Mint Syrup. A post-editing reward! Unpictured is a small cup of soy milk with 1 TBSP flaxseed powder + 1 TBSP NuNaturals Oat Fibre. No idea why but the munchies hit, but I was ready to settle in for an hour with all my snacks and play Fallout 3 until my computer crashed and forced me to read in bed. Pah!And there you have it – not too exciting but still tasty all round. Don’t forget that NuNaturals is being awesomesauce and has allowed me to share a discount code with all of you when you placed orders on their website, www.nunaturals.com.

And finally, kitties! These are the two lovelies who, along with their mom, are booked for their fantastic forever home – they are SO cute and I’m so jealous that the wonderful lady gets to take them home, but I just know they are going to be spoilt rotten, as deserved ❤
