Here’s another WIAW for those of you who have voyeuristic tendancies. It was a super lazy day yesterday since I took the afternoon off to help a pal out, and I was feeling very much like a hermit. Enter snacks galore!
Breakfast/07h00: 1/2 cup oats + 1/2 papaya + 1 tsp hemp seeds + date purée. I wake up most days, if not all, for the pure pleasure of having breakfast. It’s sometimes fast and furious, but sometimes when I have something whole to eat like a papaya I get to savour the whole business and it’s just glorious. Long live papaya season! Post-breafast snack/08h30: 2 low cal chocolate cookies and coffee. These cookies are so evil and can be consumed at an alarming rate, but oh so worth it!Tea-time/10h00: minneola + soy drink. I had just gotten back from dropping off the vet cards for my three foster kitties that I’d left at the shelter on Monday and it was a very sad affair to see poor Hermes terrified, with not a purr in sight. The other two eventually relaxed but I’m probably going to go check up on them again tomorrow. After having them with me for five months I’m totally in love and am continually worrying about their well-being – mental as well as physical. Lunch/12h30: Nutritional yeast laden salad, vegan mince, avo + asparagus wholewheat wrap + pear smoothie bowl (water, cucumber + lettuce + 1 pear)….I was clearly hungry and finally decided to spoil myself with the can of super expensive asparagus I bought a few weeks back. Worth every penny! I’m not crazy about Fry’s mince but I made it for Man-thing when testing out a shepard’s pie snackwich and the fridge needed clearing. The pear smoothie bowl was gorgeous though – and so plain and simple. Snack/17h30: Really horrible looking soy drink with boiling water and a tsp of cocoa powder + cucumber. Really, my insistence on warm soy drinks is not working out if it looks like this, but gad taking out the blender for a drink seems a bit much! Anyway, this came after a super long nap and then a quick jaunt to drop off a friend at a car servicing place. I rarely nap in the afternoon but I ate way too much so it had to happen.Dinner/18h00: Steamed zucchini and eggplant with baked turnip nutritional yeast chips and salsa. Yum! I would claim to have been overstuffed (and I was), but there was still more to follow :pPost-dinner/19h30: soy drink with boiling water, steamed carrots + 1 glazed pumpkin doughnut hole (yummmm)Dessert/20h30: applesauce plus vegan jelly + 1 tsp peanut butter. Easiest and best pudding ever 😀In other news, we finally let Freyja out today for the first time without a leash and she was thrilled! It was only for an hour or two but she meowed her head off when we brought her back inside (after getting stuck on the roof). Big brother Gatsby was there to keep a watchful eye and give her the lordly tour of the garden.
