Whoop! I’m back with another Life in Pictures Link Up with Linda from The Fitty and co 😀 LIP L/U is basically a collection of snaps taken throughout the week with minimal text – you can sit back and have a gander at what I got up to. Please feel free to join in – Linda has been kind enough to make me co-host for this week, so there’s a link up button at the bottom of this post and everything. Head over here for more info, or else swoop in and indulge in some voyeurism. 🙂
Little sister and I went on a movie date on Monday! She doesn’t have such a great attention span for movies, despite being brutally intelligent, so we headed out for junk food fifteen minutes before the movie would have ended (soy burger for me!). She’s always super curious about veganism and asks lots of questions (and pulls lots of faces), but she’s definitely a little carnivore. Still, love her to bits and beyond ❤Somehow we ended up back in their clutches not a day later and we babysat my two siblings. Story time has gotten a lot more disruptive with my brother around because he keeps on asking questions, much to my sister’s annoyance. :p Downside of story time = little siblings become excitable and big sister goes to sleep.
Witness the fitness! Well, the get-your-butt-back-in-shape incentive for 2015 – pink ankle/wrist weights, pedometer and waist pack! This stuff is crafted in some hellish dimension of torture and doom, and thus is rather effective.
Lots of lazing about and series marathons before going back to work, which of course includes the company of cats! We’ve let Freyja loose in the house for a few hours each day to get her and Gatsby used to each other, so there’s lots of chasing around followed by exhausted naps.
Since we’re rather boring we didn’t do much other than watch Cloud Atlas and NCIS on New Year’s Eve, so on New Year’s Day we went on a 5km fun run/walk to stretch our legs. No one said anything about the brutal hills involved, so I felt justified in second breakfast of doom: mango smoothie bowl. We’re going to get back in shape for our usual 10km jaunts, but for now this was an ok start.
Of course, no week in summer would be complete without some gardening. Our veggie patch is labelled and the seeds were measured, but we’re still waiting! As for our sunflowers, they’re practically bursting out of the ground. Hopefully they’ll be able to hide the hideous angel figure we’ve inherited from the previous owner :p
The benefit of being an overt lover of vegetables is that you get lots of veggie themed presents. I finally put the massive, 35cm+ long zucchini to use today and stuffed it with some awesome deliciousness. Recipe coming soon!So there you have it! 😀 Click the frog below to add your link to this bit of fun – as you can see anything goes!
If you don’t have a blog and feel like sharing, add your favourite snap from the past week in the comments. I’m always curious!
